Property and Land is the new norm in Kenya. Everyone is either selling Land or have an idea where the hot market is. Now don’t be fooled, land issues in Kenya is not as easy as the song goes. We all know of someone selling Land to more than 20 people with same title deed. Talk of craziness in Kenya! The Real Estate is doing pretty well in some counties. Eldoret is among the top and Kisumu. Real Estate is doing so well. Apart from Nairobi the headquarters, there are some towns in Kenya that Real Estate does good job.

1. Eldoret:- The town does really incase you happen to buy a piece of Land and develop it alone. Of late there are some reaaly highrise buildings around. I think the marathon runners always come back home with sack full of USD and develop it. The Real Esatate market too is average. Now how does this works. It depends on how much the Land was sold and the type of property to develop. The Land price is not high compared to other cities in Kenya. And the number of rental demand is high too.

2. Mombasa:- Now the coastal Region Mombasa Raha does really well in Real Estate, and the reason is clear! Kenyans always flock to the sea side whenever eany Holiday season is approaching. And most of the rentals are always fully booked. So for the Real Estate investors, open your hearts to the coastal region try to give it a hug!

3. Nairobi:- Nairobi is the capital city and many investors fock always where the numbers are high. Of late the Real Estate is not doing well like some years back. The answer is clear, Nairobi rentals are shooting up each and every day, and the demand is not so huge. I know of a building in Upperhill that was built like five or six years back, and the thing is it has been lying unoccupied for the five years, rental is really high. So as an investor why build when you know the market is not there at the first place?  But again good news is that, there are some parts in Nairobi, that are doing pretty well. One is Kajiado and the other is Kitangela. The demand is huge. But why are such suburbs doing well in Real Estate?

4. Kiambu:- Kiambu is the twin sister of Nairobi only that she was not born with luck! All highways that have been reconstructed in Kenya, they all lead to Kiambu! All big shopping malls that are coming up are just next to Kiambu, and even Nairobi water get water from Kiambu to supply to the Nairobians. And Kiambu have the highest number of registered voters in Kenya far more higher than in Nairobi. Land in Kiambu is cheaper to compared to her twin sister, infact most people in Nairobi work in Nairobi but they live in Kiambu because Rentals are very very cheap. So if you are a Real Estate investor set your eyes in Kiambu county, you will never go wrong.

5.Naivasha:- Just like the coastal city Naivasha Real Estate is huge. It is considered by many people as a holiday destination and especially when you want to run away from the hustle and bustle in the city. Naivasha is a very quiet place and the nature is calming. Most of those moguls have their third home in Naivasha. Considering that it is not far from Nairobi.Only an hour drive and voila you are at the lake side. Land is not expensive in Naivasha. If at all you are intrested in investing in Naivasha then Hotels and private villas does really well. Do not build apartments because the demand is not there!
